Environmental Awareness Training approved by RoSPA
Why is environmental training important?
In any working environment, there are numerous activities which, with proper environmental training, could be reduced or made 'greener'. Taking an office environment for example; things such as electronic equipment, lights, lifts, use of transport and paper - even food packaging and use of water coolers – can be controlled and managed in such a way that their environmental impact is reduced.
Our environmental awareness training has been designed to help learners understand the benefits of going green, promoting environmental sustainability and explains some practical ways in which to conserve energy and resources whilst at work.
Using responsive, instructional design, this environmental awareness course focuses attention onto the effects of greenhouse gases upon the Ozone Layer, and the negative side effects of global warming upon humans, plant-life, and animals. The environmental awareness training course also tackles air pollution caused by road traffic, burning fossil fuels, and the effects of acid rain with a view to raising employee awareness about these serious and life-threatening issues.
Our environmental awareness training course is available off-the-shelf for ease of use; we can also work with your subject experts to tailor the approach and information to suit your organisation's requirements. Using the Adapt Authoring Tool you can even modify our courses yourself.Read More

What is environmental awareness training?
Neglecting the environment is bad news for everyone. Since everyone benefits from the resources and beauty of the natural world, caring for the environment should be a top concern for any organisation. Indeed, companies and organisations alike have environmental legislation to comply with legal – as well as moral – obligation to reduce and control their environmental impact, and many now require their employees to undertake environmental awareness training as part of their corporate social responsibility and ethics programme.
Promoting environmental awareness is a vital step in the effort to protect our world from the irreparable damage and destruction caused by humans over the years. By teaching employees that the physical environment is fragile and important, we can begin to fix the problems that threaten it, and put an end to destructive behaviours as much as possible.
