Risk Assessment Training Courses for a Safer Workplace
Risk Assessment Training
Our Risk Assessment eLearning course contains four modules – all designed to engage learners and test their knowledge step-by-step. The first module explains what a risk assessment is, why they are necessary under the law, and what the process is for carrying one out properly. The second module details how the persons in charge of health and safety can identify risks and assess potential hazards in different working environments. Next, learners are encouraged to think about what control measures might be put in place to mitigate certain risks and why it's so important to manage risks in a timely and responsive way. Finally, at the end of the module, learners are asked a series of questions to test their knowledge and understanding of the risk assessment procedure and policies, and a final score is allocated for your records.
Our risk assessment training course is available off-the-shelf for ease of use; we can also work with your subject experts to tailor the approach and information to suit your organisation's requirements. Using the Adapt Authoring Tool you can even modify our courses yourself.Read More

Why is risk assessment training important?
For those given the responsibility of managing health and safety in the workplace, controlling risks is an important part of the job. This involves thinking about the things that could cause harm to employees and undertaking risk assessments to decide whether reasonable steps are being taken to prevent an accident or injury from happening. Risk assessments are required by law for all organisations, although, for companies with fewer than five employees, they do not need to be recorded in writing. The aim of a risk assessment is not to create paperwork or unnecessary stress, but to ensure the health and safety of workers by identifying sensible measures to control and mitigate workplace risks.
Who needs risk assessment training?
You don't need to be a health and safety professional to undertake a risk assessment – many organisations complete them in-house and, in case you need help, our risk assessment eLearning course explains everything you need to know to complete a thorough risk assessment that complies with the necessary legislation. By explaining how uncontrolled risks in the workplace could lead to illness, accidents, and unforeseen costs, our risk assessment training course is perfect for managers or supervisors in charge of the health and safety of their employees.
